Meet Dr. Karim, DDS

Arif Karim, DDS

Dr. Karim, originally from Houston, completed his undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) at The University of Texas School of Dentistry in San Antonio. As a dental student, Dr. Karim was involved in class leadership and research initiatives, becoming the first student from his school selected to conduct dental research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Washington, DC.

After completing a residency in Advanced General Dentistry and practicing as a restorative dentist for two years in the Bay Area, Dr. Karim continued his training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he received his postgraduate specialty certificate in Endodontics.

Dr. Karim’s treatment philosophy revolves around educating his patients about their dental problems and providing the highest level of endodontic care to ensure total patient comfort. He understands that undergoing endodontic treatments may be a stressful process and aims to alleviate any anxiety with proper education and preparation. Dr. Karim also provides several sedation options for patients with dental phobia.

Dr. Karim is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and the Texas Dental Association (TDA). His personal interests include hiking/snowboarding, playing the acoustic guitar and piano, and enjoying live music in Austin.
