Jennifer Chester, DDS

Dr. Jennifer Chester

Dr. Chester was born in Beijing, China and moved to California as a young child. Having been spoiled by her grandparents until she came to the United States, Dr. Chester needed a great deal of dental work as a child. Thankfully, her father had become a dentist in California and Dr. Chester received excellent dental work which changed her life completely. From her experiences with dental infections as a child, Dr. Chester realized at a young age that she wanted to be a dentist like her father so that she could help people like herself have a better quality of life.

Dr. Chester worked hard and excelled during her academic career, eventually completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences at Rice University in only 3 years, graduating magna cum laude and being inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She then went on to attend dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, receiving a D.D.S. degree. She once again achieved recognition for her academic and clinical achievements by being inducted into the Mu Mu Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society.

During dental school, Dr. Chester realized that she wanted to focus her efforts on eliminating dental pain and infection. Her passion for pain relief led her to pursue specialty training in the field of Endodontics. Dr. Chester completed her Endodontic residency program at UCLA in 2016 and has been working daily to help patients suffering from endodontic pain and infection. She is now a board eligible member of the American Association of Endodontists.

In her free time, Dr. Chester loves to spend time with her family, including her husband and two dogs. She is also an avid reader, movie fanatic, yoga enthusiast and unapologetic foodie. Dr. Chester understands intimately how dental pain can negatively affect her patients' lives, and strives every day to eliminate the source of this suffering. With her gentle touch and calm demeanor, she can put even the most anxious patient at ease.
